Autumn Escape Day 2

Finally finished for the day, I taught three classes today along with my make and take. I promised everyone that I would keep doing my make and takes until Midnight but quit at 11.45pm. Still have about 40 to do before I leave tomorrow.

Its been a great day, with lots of lovely ladies in my classes. Need to thank my two wonderful helpers for their support yesterday and today, and Lowri who washed my masks and brushes for me while I taught my last class.
Just about to get in the shower and wash my masks with my feet, Michele Widdows, tip. Then bed before 2am, as I am teaching at 8.30am and do need some sleep.

Day 1 Continued...

I Taught two classes today. First one was a Graphic 45 layout and everyone had a great time making their page. It was quite a relaxed class with lots of metal charms and Imaginarium designs chipboards. They had to do some masking using prima mixed media elements.

The evening class was a full on mixed media canvas. I had 45 ladies in the class and it was great, the room was really buzzing. With lots of laughter once they started blowing their inks and flicking their paint, not everyone finished, but we have time tomorrow to get it finished.

Most only have to glue their cogs on. They all were amazing, happily stepping out of their comfort zone and really getting stuck in. Wish I could have taken more photos but I just didn't have time.

So time for bed, as my first class tomorrow morning is 32 ladies at 8.30am... which is in 7 hours time.
Goodnight

Autumn Escape - Day 1

The lovely Marie Hodges drove me to Taupo in her little sports car yesterday, stopping at some lovely towns for shopping, gelatos and a visit to hobbiton before arriving at Wairakei Resort, the venue for Autumn Escape. Michele Widdows and Jodi Tomlin who run the weekend have made me feel right at home. They do an amazing job, along with their team of girls, everything looks so pretty and organized. Later in the afternoon, Maree look me to huka falls which was just amazing, wish I could remember how to get photos from my camera onto my tablet. Am thinking of walking to the falls later today when the light will be better. Will have to talk Wendy from Queensland to join me. It is on 6km there and 6 km back so it shouldn't take to long!
Its now 8.30am, and I'm ready to go. First class at 4pm with my awesome canvas at 7pm, hope no one is planning to go to bed before Midnight - I did warn them it's a big project and with 40 to 45 in the class it will be fun, fingers crossed.
 Hugs
Jane

South Pacific Scrapbooking Cruise

Sorry for lateness of my post about our cruise to the south pacific.

I got home 10 days ago, but have needed to help my father who has terminal cancer find a nursing home, help settle him in and support my mum. While getting really to teach at Autumn Escape in New Zealand.
I arived in New Zealand last night, but really wanted to share some photos of our cruise before I start sharing my New Zealand ones. The cruise was amazing, but as always it's the lovely people I met and teach that are the highlights. Two ladies came from England Christina Moore and Mary Gates, who joined me for a two day workshop.

There were over 5 who were from Adelaide and who can do classes with me any day, but liked the the idea of doing classes to sea.

Then there was the wonderful group of friends from Victoria who had so much fun. I had two barbie dolls in my class one day as well. Trina McClune also had a group of kiwis travel over with her and it was so nice hearing a kiwi accent in my class. Everyone was so nice and friendly and having so much fun. The ship was amazing and needlework tours did an awesome job keeping it working so smoothly and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves.

So next year I am teaching again on the same ship, but it will be traveling to the South Island of New Zealand.
Well I need to get ready to travel down to Taupo ready for the weekend.
Sorry about my photos being out of order.
Catch up soon
